For students during the build

Start here — the kit QR page
The page printed on every kit's QR code. It is the fastest route to the deck, the study guide, and the quiz during class.
- Open the deck (PDF)
Assembly deck
32 illustrated slides: safety, parts inventory, build order, orientation, the inspection gate, first power, and troubleshooting. Written for the v1.4 board you receive; the illustrations are v1.3 artwork with the same parts and connections. Project it where the whole room can see it.
- Open the study guide (PDF)
Student study guide
5 pages of reference: component identification, what a sound joint looks like, polarity and orientation, the build order, and symptom-based troubleshooting. Prints well double-sided.
- Open the Google Form
Build-readiness quiz (Google Form)
12 automatically scored questions on safety, placement, orientation, and inspection. No sign-in and no email address is required to take it.
- Open the browser quiz
Build-readiness quiz (browser copy)
The same questions, scored in the browser, for school networks that block Google Forms. Nothing is submitted or stored.
For teachers evaluating the kit
Public previews- Preview the lesson plan (PDF)
Teacher lesson plan — public preview
7 pages: three 50-minute periods with objectives, pacing, safety framing, partner inspection gates, differentiation, and extension prompts. Read it before you decide whether the kit fits your course.
- Print the QR cards (PDF)
Printable student QR cards
Four cards per sheet, each pointing at the kit start page. Useful when you are handing out kits that have been repacked.
Included with every class set of 30.
The purchasing contact receives the full pack: the three-period lesson plan, the Google Forms-ready quiz, the private answer key, the student study guide, and the assembly deck. The answer key is the one item that is never published and never reachable from a student page — it is delivered only in the teacher copy.
Running this safely
Adult supervision, eye protection, moving air, and your district’s approved soldering procedure are required. Chips and batteries stay out of the board until it has passed inspection — sockets get solder, chips do not. Switch a board off immediately if a component gets hot or smells unusual.
Each finished board needs 3 AA batteries, which the kit does not include.
