Classroom tools, built by a teacher.

Hands-on electronics kits and teaching software from Evolved Academics. Made in a working classroom, sold to schools the way schools actually buy.

What we make

The bare Magic Conch circuit board, printed with component outlines, designators, and eight answer labels
Hands-on kit

Magic Conch soldering kit

A first soldering project for grades 6–12. Students build a board that answers yes-or-no questions — eight LEDs chase while the button is held, and one stays lit beside a printed answer. No code, no microcontroller.

Individual kit $29.99 · Class set of 30 $449.00 ($14.97 per student)

ClassLens.

Teaching software

ClassLens

AI-assisted grading for Google Classroom. Grade against your own rubric, return written feedback to every student by name, and see where the class is stuck. In real K-12 district use.

Who makes this

A teacher, a workbench, and one classroom to test in.

Evolved Academics is run by Steven Swanson, a working teacher in California. ClassLens started in 2024 out of grading that kept eating Sunday nights. Magic Conch started because a first soldering project should leave a student holding something that works, not a bag of parts and a worksheet.

Both products get used in a real classroom before anyone else is asked to buy them. Evolved Academics LLC was formed in 2026.
