Two products, both built in a classroom.

One thing students hold and solder, one thing teachers run on a laptop. Everything Evolved Academics sells is on this page.

The standard board as it ships: bare, with an outline and a designator printed for every part, and the eight answers along the right edge. Photographed at board revision V1.3.

Magic Conch classroom soldering kit

Students solder a board that answers yes-or-no questions. Hold ROLL and eight LEDs chase; let go and one stays lit beside a printed answer. A 555 timer and three logic chips do the work — no code and no microcontroller, so a first-time solderer can explain the whole circuit.

Who it is for: CTE and engineering teachers, STEAM coordinators, and makerspace leads running a first soldering project. Bought individually with a card, or as class sets on a school purchase order.

ClassLens

AI-assisted grading that connects to Google Classroom. Pick an assignment, grade against your own rubric, return written feedback to every student by name, and see where the class is stuck. It is in real K-12 district use.

Who it is for: teachers and departments already working inside Google Classroom.

The application itself lives at classlens.com, on separate infrastructure. Pricing and sign-up are handled there.

What it does
  • Grades against your rubric

You set the standard, the strictness, the tone, and the feedback length.

  • Feedback addressed by name

Every student gets written comments, not just a score.

  • Knowledge-gap reports

Class-wide misunderstandings, broken down per assignment.

  • Returns to Google Classroom

Push grades back as drafts or returned scores, or export to Sheets.
